Zhejiang Financial Vocational College was founded in 1975, formerly known as Zhejiang Bank School, a national key vocational school directly under the head office of the People's Bank of China. In 2000, it was transferred to Zhejiang Province for management and upgraded to a vocational college in June of the same year. It was officially established in January 2002, mainly to cultivate high-quality and skilled talents for the financial industry. In 2006, the college was identified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the first batch of national demonstration higher vocational colleges construction units, and successfully passed the demonstration acceptance of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance with excellent results in 2009.
